Fall Is All Around Us

We started the month of October talking about the changing seasons. We worked together as a class to make 4 seasons of a tree posters to hang in our science center. We also went on a leaf walk and found many shapes of leaves. Take a walk the your child to discuss the many changes happening out side. Challenge them to name the shapes and colors of each leaf. We used the leaves we found to make leaf rubbings and leaf prints.
We had lots of fun talking about our pumpkins. We used descriptive words to describe both the outside and inside of a pumpkin. The children helped clean out the inside of our ooey, gooey pumpkin.
When we finished we enjoyed our pumpkin seeds toasted. YUM YUM GOOD! Painting of a Fall Tree at the Art Center. The children used a bottle brush to make the leaves.Meet Mr. Bob, he has been leading the children in our weekly Chapel Time.

Our Field Trip to the Fire Station. Thank you to these great men how help our at the PreSchool every month.
The firemen dressed in their full turnout gear for the children to see that there is nothing for them to be scared of if a fireman ever needs to come into their room. Please help us welcome Pastor Dan and his wife. We Had a Great Day!

The children enjoyed signing in as they arrived at school. The children will do this each morning upon arrival. In the beginning many children will form circles for their letters. As the year progresses they will begin to form letters to finally writing their names. I can't wait till the comparison picture.
We also enjoyed exploring the centers in our classroom.

Hip Hip Hooray for the USA

The children have been busy preparing for the Patriotic Parade. We honored our vets with a homemade flag by the butterfly class.
Throughout February the children learned wher the president lives, a little about his White House, and who can become a president of The United States.
